Case Study: ONRUSH

ONRUSH is a brand new, incredibly exciting arcade racing game created by the talented team at Codemasters Evo in Runcorn, which was released worldwide on June 5th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This has been our biggest client project to date, 8 months of work and we loved every single moment of it, when a client comes calling to create art for a brand new video game title, what's not to get excited about!

For ONRUSH we created over 200 brand new assets with AnyForty artists from all over the world, for the design teams at Codemasters to work with as well as supplying them with 40 classic graphics from the AnyForty vaults to hide in this manic, action-packed world. All the assets all appear throughout the game (some will appear in further updates, not shown in this case study, yet) as liveries on the incredibly realistic, highly detailed vehicles, decorating the clothing, body armour, helmets & tattoo's on quirky characters and finally plastered around as street art on buildings, ramps and walls, in some of the jaw-dropping, stunning environments you race around. Oh and we were also honoured to be able to create the visual branding identities for the 12 teams you can race as. We went in!

ONRUSH was a dream project to work on, so much fun creating art for them and it's been just as much fun to play, check out the video at the bottom of this case study to see some of the incredible reviews it's clocked up and get yourself along to your nearest store and pick up a copy, you won't be disappointed!

PS, a special shout out to the ONRUSH photo mode community, most these in-game screenshots have come from those guys sharing these incredible images online. Absolute legends!

"Anyforty really keyed into the vibe of the project and we’ve loved collaborating with them on the look and feel for Onrush. The quality artwork they’ve created really help to give our characters and tracks a fresh and bold sense of personality that totally fits in with the upbeat, adrenaline-fuelled action that Onrush is all about.
