Case Study: Marin Bikes

Our first mural job of 2019 was a beaut to paint, an absolutely huge warehouse mural for the brand spanking new Marin Bikes, UK headquarters in Corsham, just outside of Bath, down in the South West. Marin is a legendary mountain biking brand, founded in 1986 and based in California.

This was a super exciting project for us, and the first time we've worked with two different artists on one painting project. This bold, vector artwork was designed by the brilliant, regular Marin collaborator Pfaltzgraphic in Pittsburgh, USA and expertly painted onto the warehouse brick walls by our man, Bristol based SPZero76.

The beauty of doing a collaborative project like this, is it allows us to massively increase the number of artists and graphic styles we can offer for painted projects now, knowing we can have one artist in  Europe, America or further afield create artwork for clients and our guys in the UK paint it open doors to a whole new exciting future!

Few options you can do when painting digital artwork but we went for gridding it out, to make sure the fine angles of Pflatzgraphic's vector art was replicated as perfectly as it should be

Once the digital artwork was gridded out, it was a case of painting in the details, square by square

Love using MTN 94, such a great selection of colours to chose from

The digital artwork of the mural was great, but it really comes alive once painted on the wall, each imperfection of the brick work, and the weathered texture covered in lushous paint really makes us happy!

Half way through the project and it was really starting to transform the feeling of what at the time was an empty warehouse

A man who absolutely loves every minute of what he does for a living!
